The bar was not high enough

So close to causing a huge upset this morning. Australia played a decent match and looked the more dominant. But if you saw the match you know why Brazil are one the the great teams in the world. all the need is a chance to do some samba on the pitch and thats it, GOAL.

As soon as Harry Kewell came ont he match changed. We seemed to attack more but the misses were criminal in the football sense. Kewell had an open goal but panicked and kicked itover the goal. Viduka had a chance and it was too hich. Marco Bresciano came on and had a couple of chances. One of his chances was a clear run at goal and as he got in the box he slowed down and the defender just took the ball of him.

These guys are professionals and should have done better.

What a day it would have been tobeat Brazil in the biggest event in the world!

Such is football. But if the bar was a metre higher...........

But now it is time to focus on the Croatians. Lets take them, beat them then sail onwards into the 2nd round where we look forward to meeting Ghana, Italy or the Czech Republic.
